We are pleased to announce an opening for a Master’s student position at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE, Recife, Brazil) under the prestigious PEC-PG program (Programa de Estudantes-Convênio de Pós-Graduação, CAPES).

The selected candidate will join the Postgraduate Program in Vegetal Biology (PPGBV, CAPES grade 7) – one of the most highly regarded programs in Brazil – to conduct research on bioregionalization and conservation in campo rupestre ecosystems, using machine learning and phylogenetic approaches to improve the regionalization of the region.

Eligibility:
- Open to foreign students from countries participating in the PEC-PG program (Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean).
- Applicants must not be Brazilian nationals and must prove residence in their home country.
- Required documents include: official ID with photo, proof of residence abroad, ORCID, undergraduate diploma + transcripts, updated CV (Lattes), research project, and memorial (600 words).
