Ecological Monitoring Crew Lead (Reno, NV), Great Basin Institute

GBI is recruiting Ecological Monitoring Vegetation Field Leads to work with GBI and BLM staff. Each Vegetation Field Lead will coordinate a field crew (one Lead will supervise two Technicians) to characterize vegetation using the terrestrial AIM core methods. In some instances, Habitat Assessment Framework (HAF), and/or other supplemental protocols will be performed, for which training will be provided. Aside from core AIM sampling, any supplemental protocols implemented will vary by project.

BRY Collections Manager at Brigham Young University

Atkinson/Lovejoy and Everett Plant Conservation Internships

Native Plant Trust is pleased to offer two 25-week internships in 2026. These positions with the New England Plant Conservation Program and Plant Conservation Volunteers program offer a range of hands-on learning opportunities. Interns work closely with Conservation Department staff, supporting these programs by communicating with landowners and volunteers to enable surveys of rare plants on public and private lands, using GIS and databases to gather and share information, and conducting field work including rare plant surveys, habitat management, and seed collection. Interns focus on an area of interest by working on an active botany, ecology, or conservation project, and are invited to join educational botanical field trips.

Botany 2026 Workshop Proposal Deadline EXTENDED to November 24th!

Share your expertise with the botanical community—submit a workshop proposal for Botany 2026! Workshops at the conference include hands-on activities (e.g., software demonstrations, data analysis tutorials, botanical drawing, etc.). They may be presented as all-day, half-day, or 2-hour sessions. It is preferable and recommended that workshops have at least two organizers. Please note that attendees at workshops are charged a fee to help cover room rental, AV expenses, and coffee breaks. For reference, Botany 2025’s workshops are listed here.
