The Department of Biology invites applications for a tenure track position in any area of Plant Molecular Biology.


The Biology Department has internationally competitive research and educational programs in cell & molecular biology, ecology, and genomics. Researchers benefit from modern equipment and infrastructure, internal cooperative centres for genomics, microscopy, and mass spectrometry, as well as a facility with a greenhouse and multiple plant growth chambers.

The successful candidate will have a PhD and postdoctoral experience and is expected to establish a productive, externally- funded research program, to supervise graduate students, and to teach courses in plant biology and molecular biology.

Subject to budgetary approval, we anticipate filling this position, normally at the rank of Assistant Professor, for August 1, 2014. Appointments at a more senior level may also be considered.
